COβ dosing
Prepare the approved COβ assembly, connect the required feedback sensors, and commission pH control with your installer.
01 / Start with the right guide
Match your equipment
Use this guide for the approved Clyr COβ assembly connected to the controllerβs dedicated COβ output. COβ lowers pH; this is not a chlorine generator or an AUX-connected liquid dosing pump.
- 1Verified pH and operating feedback
- 2Clyr COβ control
- 3Approved valve, regulator and injection assembly
How the parts work together. This is a system overview, not a terminal wiring diagram.
02 / Get ready
Before you start
- Record the equipment model, controller generation and installed software version. Use the matching product manuals.
- Have a qualified installer isolate every relevant electrical supply and verify absence of voltage before opening equipment. Turning it off in the app does not isolate power.
- Have a qualified installer secure the cylinder and install the approved regulator, tubing, valve, injection assembly and any required backflow protection. Follow the gas supplierβs handling and ventilation instructions.
- Install and verify the required pressure sensor and pH sensor. Record independent water-test results before enabling dosing.
03 / One step at a time
Set it up
Inspect the complete assembly
Have the installer verify the cylinder, regulator, tubing direction, injection location, accessory ratings and connections. Complete the prescribed leak checks. Do not use a pressure setting from a different regulator or pool.
Connect the dedicated output
With power isolated, connect the approved control assembly according to the exact controller and accessory instructions, including polarity. Restore covers and power after inspection.
Add COβ dosing
In Settings β Devices, select the connected controller and add Pool Equipment β CO2 Dosing. Give it a clear name and save. Adding the device does not commission automatic dosing.
Configure and validate the feedback
Open Settings β Auto Pilot β Auto Dosing. Select the correct pressure and chemistry sensors and enter the pH target approved for this pool. Confirm the readings are current, plausible and consistent with independent testing.
Have the installer configure and demonstrate the required circulation/flow permissives and shutdown behavior. A pressure reading alone does not prove adequate flow at the injection point.
Shared app skill Β· chemistry interpretation Learn what the chemistry readings and trends mean. ORP and estimated chlorine are not a direct free-chlorine measurement.
Open on YouTube Β· 0:00β2:19 βCommission and record the result
Use the approved commissioning procedure to verify actuation, stopping, mixing and the measured response. Record the settings and shutdown checks before leaving automatic dosing enabled. Monitor the initial operation and recheck the water independently.
04 / Prove the result
Check it works
A saved setting tells you what you requested. These checks tell you what the equipment actually did.
- The selected pH sensor belongs to this pool and agrees with an independent water test.
- The required pressure/operating feedback is valid and the installer has verified circulation permissives.
- The assembly stops when required and passes its leak checks.
- The approved commissioning settings and first observed results are recorded.
05 / Find the next useful check
If something is wrong
pH does not change as expected
Pause automatic dosing and check the independent water test, sensor calibration, cylinder supply, regulator, tubing and mixing with the installer. Do not increase dose settings to compensate for uncertain feedback.
The pH or operating sensor is missing or unreliable
Keep automatic dosing disabled until the sensor and required permissives are restored and verified.
06 / Save for later
