Autorefill Setup Guide
Connect your Clyr sensor to the Rachio smart hose timer so the pool can top itself off automatically.
13.1 Prerequisites
Before enabling Autorefill, make sure each component below is set up and communicating with your pool equipment.
- Rachio Smart Hose Timer: Install the hose timer and pair it with the Rachio app first. Follow the quick start guide below if you still need to complete the device setup.
- Clyr Water Level Sensor: Confirm the sensor is mounted, calibrated, and sending accurate readings. The sensor continuously measures the distance between the probe and the water surface so Autorefill knows when the water is low.
- Rachio API Key: Generate a personal Rachio API key so Clyr can securely control your hose timer. Use the setup guide below to create or rotate the token.
13.2 Configuration steps
Once the hardware is ready, configure Autorefill inside the Clyr app.
- Open the Autorefill Settings
Launch the Clyr app, tap the โ๏ธ Settings icon in the bottom navigation, then choose Autorefill Settings.
- Enter your Rachio API Key
Paste the key into the
Rachio API Keyfield. Use the eye icon to temporarily reveal the value and verify you pasted it correctly. - Enable Autorefill
Slide the Autorefill toggle to On. If it stays disabled, double-check the API key field is not empty or filled with spaces.
- Set the Runtime (minutes)
Specify how long the valve should run whenever Autorefill activates. Only positive whole numbers are accepted, and Clyr automatically converts the value to seconds internally.
- Set the Water Level Threshold
Enter the warning threshold using the displayed units (inches or centimeters). Autorefill runs when the measured distance rises above this value.
- Save your settings
Tap Save at the top of the page to securely store your Rachio key, threshold, and runtime values.
