01 / Start with the right guide

Match your equipment

Use this guide for the Hayward 300W SmartPower integration tested with Clyr. Check the model label and manual revision; the reference manual is for LTSUY11300. Select only lamp modes supported by the installed Clyr software.

02 / Get ready

Before you start

  • Record the equipment model, controller generation and installed software version. Use the matching product manuals.
  • Have a qualified installer isolate every relevant electrical supply and verify absence of voltage before opening equipment. Turning it off in the app does not isolate power.
  • Have the installer check supply wiring, bonding, each zone’s load and the combined load against the exact transformer manual.
  • Record which physical zone serves the pool, spa or other lighting group.

03 / One step at a time

Set it up

  1. Prepare the supply and communications

Have a qualified installer follow the matching SmartPower manual for its supply and outputs. Record the Clyr network, transformer address and physical zone. Do not cycle supply power as a substitute for digital control.

  2. Add the SmartPower light

Open Settings β†’ Devices β†’ Add, then select the Clyr controller physically connected to this equipment. Open Pool Equipment and choose the item named below. App wording can vary by version.

Choose Hayward SmartPower Transformer. Name the zone clearly. Match Network and Address, then choose the Relay number corresponding to the wired output zone. The currently supported form offers ColorLogic (Universal); do not infer that every advertised OmniDirect feature is available in Clyr.

  3. Check one zone first

Turn on one configured zone and confirm that only the intended lamps respond. Select a supported color/show, then turn it off. Repeat for additional zones with their own correct mapping.

  4. Use sync/reset only when appropriate

Use a recovery or sync action only for the confirmed compatible lamps and mode. Allow the operation to finish. If the wrong group changes or the lamps remain out of sync, check mapping and compatibility before repeating it.

  5. Create a simple lighting program

Once the zones respond correctly, make a short program using a known color or show. Review each included light and its end state.

Shared app skill Β· not equipment wiring

Group the required equipment into a timed program. Check every selected device and its end state before running it.

04 / Prove the result

Check it works

A saved setting tells you what you requested. These checks tell you what the equipment actually did.

  • The zone name matches the lamps that actually turn on.
  • A color/show selection produces the intended response.
  • OFF affects the correct zone without interrupting unrelated equipment.
  • After a normal restart, the installed configuration still controls the correct zones.

05 / Find the next useful check

If something is wrong

The wrong zone turns on

Stop using the program and compare the physical zone wiring with the Relay selection and transformer address. Do not change multiple zones at once.

Colors do not match the selection

Confirm the lamp family and selected operating mode. Use sync/reset only after the installer confirms the compatible mode; it is not a universal repair for mismatched lamps.

The device is saved, but it does not respond

Check the selected controller, equipment type, physical network and address against the installer’s record. Check the equipment’s own display for a fault. Isolate power before inspecting connections.

Manual control works, but the schedule does not

Check the event’s day, time, selected device and requested value. Check whether Manual or Service mode is overriding scheduled operation. Return to the intended mode and observe the next event.

06 / Save for later
